Gucci Card Holder Edge Coat Repair– A 6-Month Post-Repair Review

Today, we would like to share a follow-up review of a Gucci card holder edge coat repair, including photos taken approximately six months after the repair.

Before Repair

The first photo shows the condition before the repair.

The edge coating along the card holder had been compressed and cracked throughout, with the surface becoming rough and uneven.
Due to the slim design of the card holder, repeated friction from hands and pockets caused the edge coating to deteriorate earlier than the leather itself.

Immediately After Repair

The second photo shows the card holder immediately after the repair.

The original edge coating was completely removed.
The edges were carefully re-leveled, then rebuilt through multiple layers using Italian edge paint, creating a clean and stable finish.

Once the edge line was restored, the overall appearance of the card holder became noticeably more refined and balanced.

After 6 Months of Use

The photos below were sent back to us by the customer after approximately six months of regular use.

Despite everyday use, the edges show no lifting, cracking, or separation, and the lines remain relatively stable.
The appearance has not significantly deteriorated compared to immediately after the repair, and the corners have settled naturally over time.
