Bottega Veneta Men’s Wallet – Edge (Coating) Repair, Restoration & Cleaning

by Leatherraum x Atempause 2025. 11. 24.

Recently, inquiries regarding Bottega Veneta wallet edge-coat (urethane/edge paint) repair have noticeably increased.

After long-term use, the edge coating often melts and sticks to the leather surface—especially along frequently handled areas.
This case required more than a simple edge touch-up; it needed a careful restoration process.

After Cleaning, Conditioning & Edge Restoration

The wallet submitted for this repair had melted edge coating that had pressed into and damaged the leather surface.
We first restored the stuck and discolored areas, carefully cleaned the affected sections, and reshaped the edge line before reapplying a new edge coat.
As a result, the wallet regained its original clean, smooth, and refined outline.

After the edge reconstruction, we also performed a basic leather clinic service (surface cleaning + conditioning) to help the wallet maintain its condition over time.
A small step, but one that noticeably enhances the overall finish.

The edge of a luxury wallet is not just a decorative border—it plays a crucial role in defining the wallet’s entire impression.
At Lederraum × Atempause, we focus not only on simple repair but on restoration that preserves the natural texture of the leather and the original brand quality.
