Prada Men’s Clutch Bag – Custom Handle Reform

This project involved the reform and customization of a Prada men’s clutch bag.

The exterior and interior were both crafted entirely from leather, making the bag considerably heavy.
In addition, the bag was much larger than a typical clutch, so carrying it by hand alone was inconvenient for the client.
They requested a custom handle—something that would allow the bag to be carried more comfortably and securely, like a document bag.

Condition Before Repair

Upon inspection, we found several issues caused by long-term use:

• The stitching had come apart, causing the outer and inner leather panels to separate
• The edge coating had cracked
• Reinforcement materials were partially exposed
• Overall finishing needed restoration

Repair & Reform Process

• Removed all original stitching and re-stitched the entire bag by hand
• Created and added a custom handle integrated naturally into the existing stitch line
• Evenly reapplied edge coating across all surfaces for a clean, refined finish

Final Result

Thanks to the newly crafted handle,
the clutch bag can now be carried more comfortably—much like a stylish, structured document bag.
The finishing work reinforced the entire body, resulting in a product that feels sturdier, sleeker, and noticeably more luxurious than before.
